Here is a fun one! What song are you most grateful for? Gentleman, if you are reading this with your wife you best at least mention your wedding song. In my first two books, A Happy Life for Busy People and Living the Dream, I include the strategy of creating a ‘happy playlist’ those are songs that will improve your emotional well-being. If you read the post on art, you will know that music is one of my favorite art forms. It is also one of the most powerful. Songs connect us with raw emotion. It can be a carefree song that sets our spirit free. It can be a heartbreaking song that tears our heart to pieces. It could be a song that reminds us of happy times from long ago. There are songs that remind us of people we have lost along the way.
What song are you most grateful for? My favorite song is Lush Life when performed by Nat King Cole. Also a big fan of the band Ratt and like many of their songs. I love it when Margie sings this song called Mr. Sun. At least I believe that is the name of it. Whatever the name, it has me thinking of warm sunny weather. There are two songs that help me make it through a workout. Wolf Totem by the Mongolian band The Hu and Planet Boom by Tommy Lee. There is also Margie and my song All of Me by John Legend. I enjoy the musical piece Spring from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
There are so many great songs for so many reasons. I would love to hear what yours are. Why are you grateful for them? Do they keep you connected to a loved one that passed away? Is it a song that you share with a friend? Perhaps, like me, there are songs that help you get through a workout? I would love to hear what songs you enjoy and are grateful for.
